The invention of vaccines and antibiotics. Think how many lives have been saved - how many people would not be here now because their great, great whoever died of a disease (that is now preventable or curable). People died of things in the old days that we'd never give a second thought to now.

It still hasn't destroyed itself. What with the latest technologies and exponential problems arising from the cons of it, we still haven't gone into World War III and no one has blown up the world to pieces - YET - so to be still existing despite ourselves is probably our greatest feat.

i think of as a race our proper fulfillment is having positioned a guy on the moon. human beings seem to have forgotten it, yet we are the only species interior the historic past of the planet to have set foot on yet another worldwide. i think of it somewhat is a ultimate element.
