I received what could be described as a "courtesy call" from the administrator of the lawsuit settlement for Ameriquest. They were reminding me that I needed to get my release form returned by September 10th in order to be part of the settlement. I am the named plaintiff in a lawsuit against them, should they be calling me?

There's nothing that would forbid it. Now if Ameriquest called and said don't sign it, that would be inappropriate. But your administrator stands to gain nothing no matter how many people sign the release.

They send out a million of those things. The only people that benefit from class action lawsuits are the lawyers.
