Why can't a working man afford a house in Los Angeles?

Actually, things ARE fair in the US because (no matter what some say) you are only limited by your abilities, desire, and the fact that you live in Los Angeles.

Move.

Fact is, California which is supposed to be run by Libs who are supposed to be helping the poor has so many taxes and regulations that only the elite can afford decent housing or hybrid cars.

You could elect conservatives to eliminate the high taxes and possibly insurance rates which will do wonders for lowering the cost of living.

I've looked all over the Constitution, and can't find where it says everyone should be able to own a house.

I've read the Bible, and I didn't see where it said life should be fair.

If you think that 'fair' means that everyone should be able to live well regardless of how hard they work, what kind of work they do, and what kind of education they have, then perhaps you should look for a communist country to live in. But be careful - the poor in America are richer than the middle class in most other countries.

Then move to Ohio. You can't afford a house in New York either. There is nothing that says you have a right to own a home.

Things do not have to be fair. In the US we have equal opportunity.
If you cannot afford to live where you are, move. There are places near Pittsburgh where you can buy a house for as little as $5,000.

Maybe they don't won't a house in LA. Heaven knows I don't.
Show me where it is written that people are given the right to own a home.
I hope you are not implying that my tax money should be given out so people can buy their own home. There's a word for that...and it isn't nice.

In the US - you have 49 other states and a few territories to consider if you don't make enough in your trade to purchase a home. That's as fair as it gets.

Move.
