Out of these three brands which do you think is best and why?
1. Lancome
2. Clarins
3. Mac
I own several products by Lancome and really liked Clarins lip pencils and lipstick I bought in the past, because it seems to really stay put (I have a hard time keeping lipstick in place because I love coffee!). I've never tried Mac, but heard good things. Also, if you don't like any of the above, what do you recommend and why? (any price range, from dimestore to very expen$$ive is okay). I'm not interest so much in price as quality, selection, etc.

MAC - best for color makeup (range, formulas, no scent)
Lancome - lovely colors but the lipsticks have a scent
Clarins - pretty colors too; like their lip products best
Other brands:
Mascara - L'Oreal esp. FeatherLash & Voluminous
Eye shadow - Revlon & L'Oreal
Lips - Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick & Lip gloss, CG TruShine, Clinique , BeneFit

MAC has a great color selection but some have allergies to the quality of its products. Lancome is a high end brand of L'Oreal. In my opinion, it is wiser to buy L'Oreal instead. Clarins is good in tanning products. I also like some of the skincare products in this brand as well. As far as Clarins' cosmetics, I think they are the same as others.

i think mac is the best outta the three. just like you i never tried mac but also heard good things about it. since you already own products from lancome and products from clarins in the past i would deffinely give mac a try from all the compliments.

My personal experience has been w/Aularale Skin Care & Cosmetics (www.aularale.com/7002) for the past six (6) years. I like and recommend this product because 1 - it's designed for sensitive skin, 2 - the liquid foundation is water based and fragrance free, 3 - it does not come off on my hands/clothes easily, 4 - it matches my skin tone exactly without mixing, 5 - it doesn't feel heavy on my skin (liquid or cream to powder), 6 - it gives me all day wear. It is among the highest quality of products that I've ever used.

Lancome. All their stuff is great. MAC is good, but the foundation is made for stage makeup, and can cause cystic acne. Clarins is okay, too.

I have to say I am partial to Lancome...probably because I work for them :)...but Estee Lauder has awesome face powder to put over your foundation...it covers redness and stays matte all day...It's called Doublewear if anyone wants to try it....But Lancome mascara and foundation is the absolute best.

MAC makes great eyeshadow, lipstick, etc. but stay away from their face makeup. MAC was originally created as stage makeup; great for coverage and creating a clean "slate" but horrible for your skin. I personally use Neutrogena face makeup because it's light, has great coverage, and it won't clog your pores.

i really like mac. they have great products! also the sephora brand is great too. im addicted to sephora.com :]
also NARS, Urban Decay & Too Faced. They all have a variety of great makeup. Urban Decays eyeshadow is extremely vibrant & makes anyone look like a model. its amazing.

i def. think its mac i have product from all three but now i only buy mac it gives you your moneys worth because of its good quality
