Hello, I am a 20 year old who was seperated of my parents house because i want to get independent and be with my own for now... So with that said, i am currently finding a job and i am stayin in library to get access on computer. Now im officially homeless on the streets because i dont have enough money to rent apartment. can someone please help me, or steer me in the right direction.
Im in a new area in US and have no friends or family around. and no way in hell would i ever sell my body so thats a definite. I am not relying on anybody for money, i just needed some ideas on how to help myself. I've never been in a situation like this before and im not going to let someone (my parents) tell me who i can be and who to be with. Thus im standing my ground, but paying a penalty. which i think is really sad.

The best thing you can do is look for a job now. Start looking at places where you KNOW you will get hired, like restaurants. It doesnt pay much, but it is a start.
You can probably stay at a homeless shelter and I know most cities have a soup kitchen....where poor and homeless can get pretty good dinners.
Try going to a temp agency, they can usually hook you up with a factory or construction job that pays more than minimum wage.
Good luck to you! Hopefully this will help you get on the right path!

The grass isn't always greener is it?
Every city has assistance for people in your circumstances. Look it up on the internet.
Being independent is a nice luxury if you can afford it but at 20 years old, as much as you'll hate hearing this, although you feel like an adult you simply don't have the life experience to make good decisions. Going out to live independently successfully means making a plan, following that plan, and having sufficient resources to take care of yourself.
I remember when I couldn't wait to get out of my parents house and then how difficult it was once I finally did. I understand.
The best thing you could do now is to go home, eat a bit of crow and plan for your next outing.
Good luck and I'll pray for you.

Time to call Mom & Dad apologize, and ask for help in coming back home. We all make mistakes continuously the question is do we learn from them? Looks like you learned one of life's hard lessons and I am sure that they will take you back, as long as you are willing to follow their rules and requirements to straighten out your life. I can say this because many years ago I was there. Cleaned up joined the Military and became a man. A man that has become disciplined, respected, and has raised a family, and has become successful, just by swallowing my pride and changing my life's direction. You have made your own bed, and again your pride is what is holding you down, they where looking out for you only, your immaturity shows. As stated been there, done that, take the advice or leave it. PS call your Mom and let her know you are alive, no doubt she is worried.

move back home, get a job, save some money, then move out. being homeless is not going to help u get on ur feet, u need some assitance. swallow ur pride and go live at home for 2 months till u have saved up enough to live onur own, and not in the library.

There are United Way sponsored shelters and training programs in most major cities in the U.S. and Canada. Since you have access to the library computer, check out the website www.unitedway.org, check out the city you are living in and take it from there.
Wishing you all the best.

If you're drug free for 30 days join the military. Your chances of being killed in combat are slim. They can provide the training and discipline to turn your life around.
Dress as nicely as you can and be cleanly shaven when you visit a military recruitment office.

Options:
1. Find a shelter that will work with you to find a job.
2. Swallow your pride and move back in with your parents. That's what I did.
