Even in the event that Capitalism takes over and citizens of the world come to value the dollar more than human life, when protecting the environment is an inconvenience to profitability, when our democracy is threatened by the RICH, CORPORATIONS or Special Interest groups, who assume that just because they have more money that that their best interests are more important than America's best interests and that their vote somehow matters more because they have more money, then and only then will I cry because the America I know and love is dead. And then I will call upon my fellow Americans to FIGHT to take OUR country back!

“You don’t understand the class structure of American society,” said Smetana, “or you would not ask such a question. In the United States, the working class are Democrats. The middle class are Republicans. The upper class are Communists.”

Will Chavez buy submarines from Russia?
President Hugo Chavez, of Venezuela, who is beginning a visit to Russia later today, may sign major contracts to purchase new military hardware of Russian manufacture. First and foremost, Caracas is interested in submarines.
Much better:
Communism will not die as long as liberalism continues to breathe life into it. Liberals have always loved Plato, Marx, Darwin, Nietzsche, Whitman, Sanger, Dewey, Shaw, Wells, Russell, Adorno, Kinsey, Marcuse and Foucault. So do the Communists. Liberals have always had a love affair with atheism, agnosticism, naturalism, ethical relativism (especially the part dealing with sexual freedom), evolution, multiculturalism, socialism, and world government. So do the Communists. Liberals have long been enchanted with Communism and Communist dictators and have fronted for them since the Bolshevik Revolution. Bill Gertz picked up on this point in The China Threat, p. 200. He put it this way: "But there is also a more sinister reason: an ideological affinity for China's supposedly 'progressive' brand of communism among top [Clinton] White House advisers and even the president himself. Going beyond the Left's long-standing and relatively harmless 'anti-anticommunism' infatuation, this blinkered view sees China as the last best hope for the triumph of Marxists ideas."

Since the beginning of time, humans have attempted, some succesfully, to control others either overtly or not, either through guise or through outright vivid brutality. Communism, socialism, fascism, and all other systems other than pure laissez-faire objectivism are contrary to man's existence. As long as there are systems of control by one person or group upon the individual, there will always be struggle to destroy that system, either until it is destroyed or until all the people that would have been controlled have died.
"And those who have the most trouble accepting my last sentence, are actually the most primitive and unevolved of all! *sm*" - Lady Zania
You know, it was funny when I read that because of course I am one of "those" people that had the most trouble "accepting" your last sentence, so it didn't suprise me that you added the tongue-in-cheek disclaimer. Although there may be some seriousness in your belief that those who hold invidiual liberty above the collective are primitive and unevolved (same thing?), keep telling yourself that. Good day.

Why would it be "great" if there was no more "communism"? It's an economic theory that has never worked--due to the selfishness and non-evolvement of humankind--but it won't go away.
I think you need to do some reading, and some studying.
And, no, I'm not crying, but, then, I'm a Liberal, not a lieberal.

Joeys back is right, especially in this statement that she made: "It's an economic theory that has never worked--due to the selfishness and non-evolvement of humankind--but it won't go away." You see, that is the only reason that communism and socialism has not been made to work. It is not because these two economic theories are flawed, it is because humanity as a whole is primitive and unevolved. And those who have the most trouble accepting my last sentence, are actually the most primitive and unevolved of all! *sm*

Why would we be crying? What does being liberal have to do with Communist regime's?
Just some neocon sound bite. As usual has no basis in reality.

Communism will never die. For some societies it does work, and Marx predicted it will take over everywhere, but it won't happen until capitalism takes over everywhere. Marx predicted global capitalism would collapse, and the world would turn to communism as a suitable replacement. He may very well be right, but we are hundreds of years from that day.
