I was wondering if I could make a light that people press a button in the kitchen and it sets a light off in my basement to alert me into coming upstairs. It would be mainly used forn when I am playing drums and cant hear people yelling from upstairs. How much would this cost and how would I go about doing it? Would a simple circuit work? websites always help too.. thanks!

HOOK UP A LED LIGHT(FOR UNDERCOUNTER) TO A BATTERY BESIDE IT AND RUN WIRE TO A DOORBELL PUSHBUTTON FOR ABOUT 20 BUCKS.
