of course its going to suck...The best are usually the first movies, then all the sequels try to out-do them. eventually the plots run thin and they try to compensate with "spectacular" fx.
the strength of screen play is in the uniqueness or originality of its story-line. Fx are supposed to enhance the story...not be the movie...that goes for prosthetic fx and gore as well.

Rob Zombie produced or directed it(or both). I cant remember. He disturbs me, but his movies are quite popular. I did not see Devils Rejects or some of his other projects b/c they looked too gruesome. Not that I dont like horror, cause I do. I think Saw was one of the best horror movies ever made, so I do like that twisted stuff to a degree.

But I think this will be different. The original was more scary that gross, so I am hoping he can step it up a notch without guts spilling out all over the place.

WTF!?!?!?! What in the hell did I get a thumbs down for?

Listen, you generally gotta like Rob Zombie's style to like his movies. The first time I saw House of 1000 Corpses, I thought it was the worst movie ever. However, about a year later I was "forced" to rewatch it and I fell in love with it. I also love Devil's Rejects. Most mainstream ppl don't get Rob. With that said, I'm really interested to see his version of a well loved classic horror movie. It could really go either way!

Hard to say. It could go either way. I'm waiting for a review or two before I go see it. I definitely though the first one was good. The second one was OK too.

I think those unfamiliar with rob zombie's style, etc are either going to love it or hate. I definetly don't think it's going to suck though :) he's said himself, "the shape" has never looked so good!

Hopefully this re-make will be better than the 1st one in the 70's, although it'll be hard to beat w/Jamie Lee Curtis not being in the lead.

It could be a decent movie, but I doubt it'll compare to the original

Hell no.

This movie is gonna rock!

If anyone can pull off remaking this classic, it's Rob Zombie.
