Answer) Political and economic inequality led to the overthrow of their absolute monarchs.

Both countries experienced their respective Revolutions during these time periods. France in 1789 and Russia in 1917. Both countries were experiencing severe economic inequalities between the peasantry and the aristocracy, and both were ruled by absolute monarchs who were overthrown by revolution.

So you need a little homework help....as best as I can remember, the two common areas were the rich got richer and the poor got poorer. In France, there was the French Revolution, and sending Louis and Marie to the guillotine. The people took over (Napoleon) and alas and alack, things really didn't change much for the poor except that Napoleon kept going to war, which eventually was his downfall, i.e., russia. In Russia, the Bolsheviks, the common people, overthrew the government of Czar Nicholas and turned the country over to communism, something that they have been trying to come out of slowly. This also happened in our time in cuba but it doesn't look like the common man won or that they will be rid of communism anytime soon.
