I am quite sure he is pocketing the money!

Is it, or should it, be my responsibility to check that my money is reaching the right people or only that it is getting me to do what I need to do?

In particular, I go to the beach and the guy at the booth often neglects to give me the slip of paper after I pay the admission fee. Even though nobody checks, I am wondering whether in the name of morality I should insist that he give it to me.

Unfortunately in Lebanon most of the beaches are not free.

Ask for it if it is bothering you that much.

If that is your biggest concern for you, it must be really nice to be you!

Whether the money you pay out gets to whomever it is not your responsibility. You'd have no way of knowing anyway.
However, you should always ask for a receipt or admission slip for your own protection. Someone else of authority may ask if you have a slip. If you don't you might be ejected even though you have paid. Plus it save you any trouble looking for the person who admitted you and hoping he/she remembers that you'd paid.

Yes, ask for a receipt.

But the thing that worries me is that you need to pay admission to the beach. That's the immoral thing in all this.

Beaches are free virtually everywhere in the world, and should be free everywhere.

No, you don't have a moral obligation to ask for receipts, but if you'd like one for your own records, they'll happily give you one. If the company trusts the person enough to hire them, I don't see why you should feel a duty to second guess that.

I would ask for the slip just to be able to prove I paid to be there. Should you happen to get asked for the slip, telling them he didn't give you one will not work and you will be asked to leave.

Just ask for the receipt. I'm seeing more and more of this type of crime. What kind of morons are we raising?

Yes, you should ask for your receipt. He is, in effect, stealing your money.
