Because Craig is a Republican. Anyone Conservative is evil to a Liberal, whether they have done anything wrong or not. Liberals don't believe in truth, they believe in their agenda to make America a Socialist nation. Craig, and what he did, is just a weapon in their arsenal, to try and get Conservatives to focus on something small, instead of the BIG issue, that Liberals want the death of freedom, America, and our soldiers in Iraq.
Republican's, and Conservative's will never be so dumb as that, to be controlled by a Liberal.

The big difference is that Craig, for years, has backed legislation condemning the very conduct he, secretly, was involved in. Instead of using his own "Balls" and supporting humanity, he chose to sell his soul to the Neocon agenda, at all costs. A hypocrite of the first order. So much corruption, so few neocons left. "Don't do the crime, if you can't do the time."
Oh, and the ethics committee in Congress, is just warming up. Soon, one more neocon obstructionist after another will succumb to the lies being spun by this obstructionist government.

As a conservative republican, I find Craig's actions just as deplorable as Clintons, Foley's and all the other perverts in Congress; regardless of political party. Thay all need to be prosecuted and persecuted to the fullest extent.

You must be joking!! A gay man hiding in the closet, actively working against gay rights, soliciting anonymous gay sex in a public bathroom. and pleading guilty to a crime is a far call from some guy cheating on his wife.
The man is a hypocrite and a poser.
You talk about private sex habits, he should try to stay out of PUBIC bathrooms and solicit anonymous sex. I could care less that he is gay, but I have no respect for someone who misrepresents himself has a straight man and hangs out in men's rooms.

Here's the thing. The Republican Party has a reputation for thinking it is the moral be all and end all of American values. Routinely on this site alone, you can see questions and answers that call Democrats "Godless," "immoral," etc.
EDIT:
LOOK AT LILLIPUT'S ANSWER, SHE INFERS DEMOCRATS DO NOT PRAY, I REST MY CASE. THANKS FOR MAKING MY POINT LILLIPUT.
So what do you expect when a Republican Senator, who has railed against gays and voted yea on adding discrimination to the Constitution to keep gays from marrying, is caught in a public restroom on the down low? It's called recognizing hypocrisy and calling attention to it. It is what it is. I don't like it that Clinton perjured himself, no one does. But he wasn't putting his finger in the face of the rest of America and telling them their morals were going to hell in a handbasket while he was doing the deed. Big, big difference.

well, the inmates have been running the asylum for many years now. But in terms of the hypocracy you are referring to, it doesn't exist because as long as they are all on the same page and regurgitate the same words, then they are right and you are actually closed minded for disagreeing with them. That's the new world order, my friend. Get with it, get PC.

Crucify? Hahahaha - must have been that "liberal" police office in some grand "liberal conspiracy" And, yes, the "liberal plea bargain" Craig made was certainly not his fault (why is it the party of responsibility NEVER has any personal responsibility?)..
But crucify is an interesting word choice. Is such a contraption how you contain the unwilling objects of your desires, such as boy scouts and altar boys?

We didn't build our platform on being the "party of morals" and of "family values" ... In all honesty we don't care.. good luck to the man and may he find a better outlet than soliciting in a public restroom... but for all the crap you guys give us about thinking your are morally and ethically superior.. you better believe we are going to point out that that's not the case.
