It depends on what you mean by support. Friendship and trade? Most likely. Billions of dollars in aid? Doubtful.
"Commerce with all nations, alliance with none, should be our motto." --Thomas Jefferson to T. Lomax, 1799

our founding fathers were very much isolationist.
America has strayed away from that due to the cold war.
Both America and Israel would be better off if America left that part of the world alone.
The fact is Israel was perfectly able to defend itself in both 1948 when it was created and in 1967 without any help from America (the weapons they used were french).
America has made the Middle East a worse place. It needs to go away and mind its own business.
--this btw is coming from an American Jew that is simply sick of the entire situation.

They would not have fought in WWII, and certainly never supported another country except in the US's own interests. For example, they went from French, to English, to French and back to supporting England, which is how America came to be in the first place.
They might have privately supported it, but no, the founders didn't believe in foreign aid.

I believe they would have. Most of our founding fathers were Christians and followed the Bible when it came to governing our country, so I have no doubt that they would have supported Israel, because the Bilbe tells us that we must support Israel.
