Yes there are signs but it varies from woman to woman. Just make note of how U feel emotionally & physcially just b4 your period. U might discover your own sign. Of course for some women there are no signs. U may be one of them. My breasts always felt heavier. My daughter gets real hungry just b4. So even knowning the signs of female relatives may not help U. Good luck.

Everyone has different signs. The most common sign is probably cramps. Places in your body start feeling really tight and it hurts like heck.
Also some people experience mood swings. You might be really emotional, or get angry very easy, or just be all around grumpy. Get a calender and mark when you get it every month. You should get it at about the same time every month.
If there are other women in the house that get periods, you will get it at about the same time as they do. It is a proven fact.
Anyways, I hope this helped!

your discharge will usually become thick and milky looking. Some people have to wear a pantyliner during this time b/c it can be heavy for some people. You may get a bloated feeling and feel a little crampy as well a few days before it starts. Your breast may get tender. Every person is different but just pay attention to your body around this time and you will learn to recognize them.

I get hungry, even after eating! It's horrible. I get tired and my breasts hurt. This usually happens a few days before but when I get these signs, I start wearing a pad.

I know this sounds weird, but I can always tell because I can smell it. Like, it doesn't smell really strong, but it's just there. Sometimes, I just know it's going to start the next day.
You're best bet is probably just keeping a calendar.

I always notice that I start cramping a couple days before. And sometimes I'll start spotting a tiny bit and that'll let me know I'm about to start.

well, the week before your period, you'll have your "cranky week" if you will.
some women will feel a "twinge" when they ovulate. but some women don't.
also, keep track of your cycle. it will be usually be very regular, and therefore predictible.
if it is irregular, ask your doctor.
