I would keep a journal, this way you can be aware when you begin to bleed. Make sure you gets lots of sleep & eat good nutritious food (organic when you can), & stay hydrated. It's the change of your hormones, that are affecting your feelings but you can control some of your feelings by being aware of the changes.

Everyone goes through it, but birth control pills my not be the right way. Not if you aren't interested or your parents still have a say.

Personally, you could try avoiding salt, refined sugar, caffiene, and alcohol. They have been shown to exacerbate symptoms. Eat anything high in vitamins like magnesium, calcium, vitamin E, and B6. They have been shown to help, as well as bananas--the potassium is very good for cramps.

I avoid drinking dairy. It makes me break out during my period, which causes extra stress, and may help PMS come on stronger. I try to avoid stressful situations, (like drama with the friends) and just ride it out.

Hope this helps!
