I live in Fishers, Indiana, and I don't really here much about my state when I travel. Mainly because it's insignificant and there's not much to do. But just to soothe my curiosity--what are some stereotypes about the residents here?

"My frisbee is on the ruff. Money is the rut of all evil. Watch out for those giant robuts!"

Lol, everything there I say with the sound of a double-o, except for robot. Which sounds like roe-bought.

I've actually been told we have about the blandest accent.

Their basketball teams aren't as good as they used to be.

My husband was born in Panama but grew up in Indianapolis. I visit my inlaws several times a year.

I don't really know many Midwest stereotypes. What are they? I was surprised to learn that basketball was such a big deal (never heard of Hoosier until I began dating him). Didn't seem to be that much diversity back then, but Indianapolis has a lot of immigrants. I guess it's part of Tornado Alley. Saw a bunch of farms, but what state doesn't have them? Don't really know a Midwest "type".

I like the accent. "My frisbee is on the ruff. Money is the rut of all evil. Watch out for those giant robuts!"

i grew up in Indiana and am now living in Alabama. I've lived in at least 5 different states and Indiana is home.... Ive found a few things that could be considered stereotypes.. but its more factual I guess... basketball is king and corn fields are all over the place in southern Indiana... I can't wait to get back home

I love Hoosiers! They are friendly, charming and humorous. I think your state has gorgeous farmlands and forests. I admire your lush, green, rolling hills. My sister is at Purdue, and loves it there. She is a sophomore, so we visit fairly often. However, I was surprised at how many of you are really heavy. Guess that's due to all your fantastic eating establishments!
