DJ Sammy did a remix of Bryan Adams "Heaven"
there was a little girl that was dubbed into the song explaining to her father (who died in south tower 9/11) all that she's doing and how much she misses him. that to me was the most depressing song i ever heard.

Rainy Days and Mondays. It's a sad song itself and Karen Carpenter singing it makes it even worse. Her life was filled with melancholy and depression.

Pretty much anything by Lou Reed - White Light/White Heat comes to mind - but if you exclude the lyrics (which are actually reasonably positive for Lou) Perfect Day takes the cake.
