Advertising.

If it cost the same to produce Nike, Reebok, Adidas, and payless shoes then who indeed makes the money. The same companies who produce the labels Americans love and adore, that's who. Their evil in their production of the product, but a good ad campaign makes us desire them more and more. It's really sick if you think about it. BUY AMERICAN!

I'm right there with you, just got a new pair of Nikes and Asics and scratch my head why I should have to pay so dang much.

Bottom line, they are only selling shoes to make money. The best place to buy shoes is the BEST FEET store. They care about your feet there.
