even if i was tired all day when its time to go to sleep i can never fall asleep. i try to think of relaxing stuff because that what people told me to do but that only make my brain run even more and i could just be in bed for hours trying to fall asleep. im 12 and im a girl.... since i was like 8 year old if i would go to sleep at 9 then i would be awake trying to fall asleep until like.. 12 am. i dont want to take pills or anything but is there anything i can do to fall asleep faster? especailly now that school is starting again and i have to wake up at 6 am?

Sometimes my nephew- who is just a little older than you- has to drink chamomile tea before he can fall asleep.

If you have a clock-radio, you could let it play something soothing until it shuts off. Or about an hour before you have to hit the sack, you could curl up with a good book.

Don't worry about it, in the meanwhile: That just worsens the problem.

well, i have the same problem the other night. what you do, is on saturday- pretend its a school night and go to bed at 9. you won't be able to fall asleep. then the next day when your really tired in the morning, stay up a few hours since your tired and then sleep.

take a hot bath as hot as you can handle with some radox sleep easy or something similar, relax for 30Min's when you get out you will feel dizzy and sleepy, i have done this for years trust me it will put you to sleep easy!

Well u can try drinking a cup of milk wen ur about to sleep, thats wat i do n yeah i feel sleepy n in no time im making ZZZZZZZZZZZ ^_^
