In different categories now that Yahoo Answers has take away the Top Contributor badge away from the Polls and Surveys category?

I was about to ask the same thing. I suppose I could go back to Diet and Weight loss....those girls all want to know how I did it.

Hi,
Sometimes I have a Top Contributor badge and sometimes it disappears. Then it appears again which it did yesterday. Once it was for three sections, now only one. I'm not sure how they're allocated. I never really focus on any particular category: just cover my interests and questions that make me think or where I feel I can help people. The badge doesn't really make a difference. Oh, and I didn't know they've taken away the badge from Polls and Surveys, that doesn't sound fair to me. Why shouldn't this section have a badge? Surely they all do? Isn't this a case of discrimination!! just joking

No. I used to have one in C&A, but lost it about a month ago. I feel better without that orange thing anyway. I don't want another one. I'm glad they removed them for our category. It just really shows how juvenile some people's behavior is in this category. It's sad really.

Not sure! It's not about the badge for me though! But, I'm getting more frustrated with good people getting their accounts taken for no reasons!

i've tried other categories and they just weren't as much fun. if they are removing TC badges permanently i'd probably think going to another site first. if they lose enough people maybe they'll think about it.

I tried going to the baseball section for ahwile, but those guys suck. They take things way too seriously.

No,I like the laid-back atmosphere here, plus I don't care about all those cheesy status gimmicks.

No, not really. P&S may seem dull, but the other categories suck hard when comparing to this one.
