Two *really* good starting places:

First, the excellent wikipedia page on the topic:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_evolution
At the bottom of the page are *tons* of really good links. It's a great one-stop gateway.

Like all encyclopedias ... this is a *starting* point. It gives just a nice overview of the topic ... and it pretty much very accurate. (Some people question the accuracy of wikipedia ... but these people can rarely point to a single fact that inaccurately represents the current scientific consensus. In other words ... it's not wikipedia they have a problem with, but the scientific consensus. Wikipedia is very good at backing every fact up with a hyperlink to a source.)

But the nice thing about a *web-based* encyclopedia, is that it provides links to other topics so you can dig deeper into any topic you either don't understand, or you want to understand in more depth.

And at the end of the page is a *huge* list of External Links where you can continue exploring.

The second recommended link is the the BBC page on human evolution:

The theory of evolution presents a major point of disagreement with the Bible. What is noteworthy about this theory is how quickly it became popular among scientists after the publication of Darwin’s book The Origin of Species. It was accepted long before there was any time to test the book’s hypotheses or find proofs for them in the fossil record. Why? Evolutionist Hoimar v. Ditfurth makes the candid admission: “Science is by definition the attempt to see how far man and nature can be explained without recourse to miracles.” (The Origins of Life, by H. v. Ditfurth) Is it surprising, then, that scientists have eagerly seized on the evolution theory, spending much time and effort trying to prove it and very little trying to see if it can be disproved? The only alternative, creation, would be a miracle—which to them is unthinkable.

human evolution? its the most rediculous theory thats out there. every website contradicts itself, and scientists are becoming more and more aware of its serious flaws. i would recomend this website: it has detailed information on everything you need to know about evolution, and compares it to christianity. please read! if you really want to become an atheist, you should know what you're up against. thanks for reading : )
