OK, lets say there's this couple(man & women) that have been together for about 8 years and they decided they're not going to get married but stay in a commited relationship. But all of sudden the women wants to get married. What are some fun hints she could drop that she wants to get married besides the obvious, saying to his face that she wants to get married.

You might wanna say it straight up. The man might think that it is cool to contiune on this commited thing and think that this is the way you want it forever! It would be best to make sure you make sure your voice is heard so that you can effectively evaluate the remainder of your life if he is not with the marriage thing. Good Luck !

Why would you want to marry him after 8 years....isn't time to get divorced by then? Regardless, don't you know, men don't understand subtle? You have to come right out and tell them.

She could make it seem casual. "we know we're committed to each other, why not just do it? We could get it done at the court house if you want" Bring up financial benefits. Make it practical, not romantic (it won't work on the guys).
