Actually there is some truth in this.

You have a shift away from the Christian conservatives and more towards the secular center. I would rather have the secular center myself, but it seems that all the money is in the Christian conservative wing. They don't like candidates that are pro-choice and believe in any kind of rights for gays and lesbians.

You see a lot of the current Republican candidates changing their original tune to accomodate these views in their stump speeches, but you know they aren't really Christian conservatives.

Unfortunately it is both parties. Our members of Congress (both parties) are all over-paid, over-appreciated, elitists that keep trying to identify with the common man. If you want to take a look at financial go to www.opensecrets.org. They have every tax return/income statement for everyone, including the President.

And just for good measure here are the top 5 richest members of Congress (by net worth) and their respective political party.

1. Herb Kohl - Democrat
2. Jane Harman - Democrat
3. John Kerry - Democrat
4. Darrel Issa - Republican
5 Jay Rockefeller - Democrat

No, why would you think that? They have won the last two elections. If anything the Dem's are because the the best choices are Obama and Hillary. We all know Hillary already served her 8 years in the white house.
We will not see a minority in the White House within the next 50 years remember this.
I am an Independent.

I do not. If it is any consolation to you, the approval ratings of the Democrats in Congress are in the toilet right now.
