That is just ridiculous!, what if she was having the baby!?
I can understand where the are coming from because the may get alot of prank calls but that isn't something to be taken to lightly, two young girls may have had to help deliver a baby who don't have a medical degree. Who knows what could have gone wrong. Thank the wonderful Lord that nothin bad did happen. If i could say something though.. I think the world has gone to far as to be having 15 year old girls pregnant with no husband. I reckon everyone one should wait till marriage that way nothing like this would happen. Please don't end up like your cousin, your whole "being a teenager" ausome stage turns into being a hectic mother spending end on end looking after the baby with no one really to help you (husband) or support you.

sorry that they did this, but things sometimes do come up in Dr's offices. I am 25 and once was put on hold at my Dr's office for probably 20 minutes and was getting very upset, until they came back and told me that something (an emergency) had happened in the office. You never know. Plus there are plenty of women who might sound like children on the phone, so I don't know that the receptionist would have assumed. Just don't get to worked up, you don't know the situation for sure.

good luck to your cousin.

at night and you were calling her doctor? You are getting the answering service....they will put you on hold to call the doctor or tell you to go directly to the hospital. If you're having contractions they should tell you to go directly to the hospital because there is no way they can tell over the phone how serious it may be.

I think it is wrong to discriminate based on age.... This pregnancy has probably made her have to grow up a lot quicker as well. I remember being that young and being far smarter than the average adult gave me credit for. It's good to hear your friend is alright.

yes. In those cases there should be an adult or a plan to a trip to the ER and bags packed, sleeping stuff packed with day clothes as well.

you should have had an adult make the call, and if it was her doctor then the office should have at least advised you...she is listed as a patient and has a chart....something doesnt sound right about the whole call thing
