almost every married couple I know attends church on sunday.
and no, I don't think religion is anywhere near "on it's way out" I think because of world events, it will become one of the biggest players not just in world politics, but in the people as well.
(as a side note, this might have been better placed in the religion category)

I wonder if you're right. My husband was an active member in his church before we met. His involvement slowly dwindled away after we became involved. About two or three years ago he claimed that he no longer believed in God and that he was an atheist. So, we do not go to religious celebrations on Sundays. I still believe in God, but it makes it tough when you're with someone that doesn't.

If you were in to that sort of thing before being married you would but otherwise marriage isn't going to change the way you do things (like going to church) There are many people that don't believe in a god but i don't think that world religion is on its way out.

I have been married for almost 4 years and my husband I attend services every Sunday morning and night. In the very church we were married in. I think every one should be in church some where but the time and date that that will happen is not up to me.

The answer is 64% of married couples still go to Church, even if it just on Holidays.
Religon is not dying. In a lot of areas it is getting stronger because of the world situation. The rougher the world situation gets the more people need to believe in a higher power.

We attend ever Sunday we can. We both are Christians and enjoy attending services together. I hope "religion" is on it's way out (the "what we believe is right and what you believe is wrong" kind of religion) But it's probably not.

We do on occassions. My wife works on Sundays, as it is a requirement for her job.
We are religious; however, in my case, I do not believe in organized church, which is a man-made thing.
To me, religion is more important than ever; most people ARE RELIGIOUS, it is just that they do not follow the precepts of Christianity, Judaism, Muslimism, or any of the other major religions, replacing them with Communism, Darwinism, Fascism, Naziism, etc.

lots of married couples attend some form of church on sundays. the church by my house seats over 10 thousand members, and they have 2 services, when i used to go, they would be full, thats just the adult area, youth areas were in different parts of the building, most were couples...and most were unnattractive or old. I would love to watch that church sink into the ground with all of the people inside of it, some big earthquake swallow it up, then i can go about saying "god was angry with the hypocrits of his church and so the earth swallowed it up" and even tho i would know that a natural disaster having nothing to do with god did it, christians would have to believe it, because thats what they do, link completely unrelated events to god in order to strengthen their faith in an imaginary being.

I go on Sunday mornings with my child and my 2 step kids. My husband does not attend service. I believe in God. Without God we would all be in a lot of trouble. He is what holds me up.

We still attend weekly services as a couple. I think a lot of it depends on how important your spiritual life is to you. To us, it's an important part of who we are. Do I think religion is less important to people than it used to be? I think people take less time in their lives for the things that really matter, and waste a lot of time chasing things that don't really make them happy.
