At 10 months you don't need to worry much. All babies mature at their own speed--our son started to really start to talk around a year.
And remember that your sons will probably focus on either talking OR walking first--so you'll probably either see them walk or talk first, but not both.

It's normal for children to say 'dada' before 'mama', ten months is still very young, coming up for 2 they should be 'talking' quite a bit. They have hearing checks and ability checks at about 18 months I think (I'm working from memory here!) and that's when any possible problems will be picked up.
My son had to have speech therapy - he's 13 now, a really bright lad, so even if there appear to be probs don't panic, with my son he just needed a kick start to try and make the sounds he didn't think he could make. Once he knew he could make them, he wouldn't stop talking!

Around 9 month, my youth pastor's son who is now 2 1/2 yrs old started saying dada and mama and then at 10 months old he started saying Abby and his Aunt Becca got upset but I had no control of it.. My name can be easy but sometimes I get Bobby out of Abby (LOL)... but not with this boy.. Mama and dada must have helped him 'cause everytime he sees a pic of me he would take it off the refrigerator and say my name so many time and then take it with him and hide it from them.. Then later he will get it where he hide it and put it back on the refrigerator... No need to worry...All baby are different...

I have 10 yr old twins and I recall them starting to say mama and dada around 12 to 13 months , don't worry........it will happen in time. Every child is different with their milestones, so don't worry if one starts talking before the other.

Both my girls said dada first. They didn't say mama for about a month after this. I think it was around 10-11 months. It will happen, don't worry.

No they are doing fine and if you are like most Mothers you have pushed them to say Dada before Mama anyway.

Absolutely not. I have a 20 month old and a 4 year old. Neither one of them really starting saying anything, choosing to point for what they wanted instead, for almost 18 months. Then, when they did start talking, only my wife and I could understand what they were really saying for another 2 months and they were always using single words and not very clearly. Now I can't get my 4 year old to be quiet long enough to get a word in edgewise. Don't worry. They'll talk. Give them longer.

It sounds as if they are right on track. My daughter started saying Mama and Dada around nine months, and she said kitty at 12 months. Often times, babies concentrate on other skills, like walking, and hold off on the talking. As long as you are constantly talking to them and engaging them in "conversation" (NEVER "Baby talk") they will be fine.

My 22 month old son won't say dada. He has been saying mama since he could first talk. I wouldn't be too concerned about it. It doesn't mean he is behind - developmentally.

My son didnt either til he was a little older...and then it was only when he was crying, which breaks my heart, but helped me too. I knew when he really needed something, he was calling for Mamma to do it, not DaDa or Baba.
They will..dont worry. Keep talkiing to them, they'll be babbling soon. By about a year, they are experimenting with sounds, at about 15 months old...they blab on to toys...it happens.
