Speaking generally, why is it that people always stare at you when you're in a restaurant - its bad manners to stare at people yet they still feel no shame. Also it kind of spoils your evening a little. Its ok to look now and again but constant staring is just annoying, especially when you are trying to enjoy yourself. It makes you paranoid - its like non-verbal intimidation.

Can anyone give a SERIOUS explaination of why you think these people are staring and a possible solution - yes, I know I could just ignore them but that didn't work.

Staring is rude, alright, & doesn't let you enjoy your food as you should. Could it be that you resemble someone famous? Do you dress to match the clothes of the other customers? Sorry, I don't know what you could do..Maybe ask for a table in another part of the restaurant.

I dated a beautiful woman for a couple years and learned the difference.

It's like looking at the sun. Take a peek and be gone.

But with some guys you could see they were living out an adventure in their minds. Used to creep her out.
