Sure,I'm a school psychologist and that's more often the case than not. I can figure out pretty quick if I can trust a kid or not,but you often never really completely win their trust. Or take marriage. Most guys trust their wives, but how many wives really and truly trust their husbands (I'm talking fidelity in this case)? I travel abroad a lot and don't think it's easy for my wife. I feel bad,all that pointless worrying she does, but she does worry. What if I meet a pretty woman in Istanbul? How does she know I didn't? Now,I never feel I have to worry about her. I couldn't say why,but I just trust her. But she obviously doesn't completely trust me. I think most marriages are like that; who can say why? It's a part of life, trusting people who don't trust you.

Believe it or not we do it everyday. How many of us trust someone and not even know the person doesn't trust us back. How many times have we thought someone was our friend, etc. and come the find out they stabbed us in the back in some way, shape, or form? Slept with our boyfriends or girlfriends, robbed, and steal, and we didn't even see it coming. As far as I'm concern, you can't even trust no one. Not even yourself. Because we know sometimes we fall short with ourselves. But on the other hand if I knew the person didn't trust me, I would find it hard to trust them, because I wouldn't know what they were liable to do depending on the situation.

It's hard to trust someone that doesn't trust you because you already know that they have an trust issue and well. They have an trust issue for a reason. You need to find out why that person doesn't trust you

Of course I would not trust anyone who does not like me and discriminate against me, those whom I think are dickheads like the yahoo user PJ or those who don't care and ignore me. And I never trust my friends at all because I strongly believe they often attack me in some ways behind my back or when I am not with them. And I really want to kick the asseholes of those dickheads.

It's not easy but I guess if you put faith in someone they may eventually be able to put their faith in you. The trouble is that with some people who don't trust the problem goes much deeper, and can't be resolved without them seeking help.

YES...because if you have broken someone's trust in any way..they will not trust you. If they have never broke yours, why wouldnt you trust them? This is not to say there is no love without trust, only that trust is easy to lose, but much harder to regain.

If they haven't given me a reason not to...sure! Why let my ego and feelings get in the way? "Trust" is not the same as "like".
