This person really needs a job!!
I know someone who speaks Arabic and wants to work as a FBI Contract Linguist / Contract Language Monitor. He doesn't speak english that well though. Can someone get me the requirements? That would really help. I went on the web site and it wasnt much help. He's working as a security guard and he really needs a better job. I really appreciate it. Best answer will get 10 points.

Uh...... The FBI....... why cause he's a security Guard. After College maybe they will speak with you. You may try the Consoulate for the region that speaks that language. They hire lingust all the time, and the qualifications, wont be as demanding for the position. The Pay will be well worth it.

So you want to help someone become a monitor of Arabic communications? That job sounds too much like big brother to me.

I'm sure the FBI outsources much of this wiretap work. Personally, I'd rather have him study hard and keep his night job.

You can always go to the FBI website and check with them. Also it would help if he had actual law enforcement experience. Maybe he should try locally first then work his way up. Most of the people I know have done it that way. Also something that might help would be for him to seek English classes. (no offense intended)

Good Luck to him!

Linguist must be fluent in two languages.

If he cannot accurately translate arabic into english,

Then whats the point of having him translate?

Call the FBI in your area and ask them what he requirements are. If you can't find it on the website, I would do that.
