First, I am a massage therapist, and it is dangerous to put a pregnant woman flat on her back after 5 months of pregnancy. The reason is, the baby is heavier now and can rest on it's supply of oxygen and blood to the placenta. A massage therapist will lay a pregnant woman on her side to preform massage. (It feels incredibly good, as well as back and feet)
You will rub her belly in clockwise motions. You can 'rake' across her belly with your hands so to speak, so if you are standing bedhind her you would reach across her to other side of her belly and kinda lift gently and bring your hands toward you. This is hard to explain, because a big factor in preforming massage is proper body mechanics, becareful you don't strain your back. Look up these terms on the net for her back, efflerouge, petrissage, vibration. For her feet make sure you massage her feet going up, toward her legs, this will reduce swelling.
U are a great guy for wanting to help your woman, good luck.

just rub it gently with an open hand don't grab or pinch at it or put pressure on it like you would her back. My husband always rubs my belly this way and I tell you it is the greatest. He also enjoys it because the baby moves towards the rubbing so he can better feel the baby and that makes him happy. Go for it just be gentle.

a tight belly is normal. Massage will be a soothing experience, but you have to be gentle, too much pressure can stimulate contractions. Use lotion or oil, and rub gently in circles. Truth is it may lead to more!!!! Congrats and good luck, you sound like a great hubby and daddy!

to massage your wifes belly just put lotion on her stomach and gentle run your hands all around. What ever you think might feel nice and while doing it maybe ask how that feels. She telll you if your dong it right because she can actually feel it.

I know you should only rub it in a clockwise direction...this helps w/ digestion..going the other way can back up the plumbing, so to speak...

you could write on it with an ink pen or marker if you want to message it...but that probably wouldn't be good for the baby...
if you meant massage than try rubbing her lower back...

You do it only with her permission and her guidance on how she wants it done. It is her belly
