Last night I layed down at 12 and tossed and turned all night, finally decided to get up and go to work early at 6am. Now it's 2:30pm and I can barely keep my eyes open at work. I could leave early because I came in so early but all I want to do is sleep. What should I do? Im afraid if I dont sleep a little while I'm tired now I won't be able to sleep again through the night and I'll be doubley tired tomorrow.

i have that same problem! school ended so i would go to sleep extremely late and my schedule got messed up! well schools starting on wednesdady and i dont know what to do. well ive been waking up at 7-8 but i go to sleep at 11 and fall asleep at 1 or 2. its annoying. so i dont sleep enough and i get extremely tired in the morning and afternoon when im up. i just woke up from a nap an hour ago. but i wasnt supposed to but i just fell asleep accidently =/ but i would say at night, if you ever get tired, go straight to bed so you can fall asleep. so if you feel tired at 6 or 7ish, go to sleep! good luck. =]

You're under-tired when it's time to go to bed,
so instead of that nap, go out for a jog.
If you haven't been exercising,
you probably won't get very far
before you get out of breath and stop
--that's all right--turn around and walk home.
The next day, running slow, try to go a little farther.
Write on a calendar how far or how long you ran,
and try to get up to 15 minutes out and 15 minutes back.

Now at night (when you're trying to sleep),
in bed in a dark room, relax your muscles.
Start at the top of the head and work down,
think: "forehead relax, eyebrows relax, eyes relax," etc.
Next, concentrate on the black screen behind your eyelids.
You'll notice that it's not completely black,
but has a golden glow to it.
As you concentrate on the golden glow,
it will start to form shapes.
Think to yourself the name of the shape:
"squiggly line; triangle; egg shape; whatever."
The more you concentrate,
the more complex the shapes get:
"book; door; curtains; etc."
If your mind starts thinking about other things,
force it back to see what pictures form.
Keep concentrating,
and someone will walk through the door;
pick up the book and move to the curtains.
But you may only remember a little piece of this
because you'll be asleep and off into a dream.

The ideal length of time for an afternoon nap is 30 minutes, no longer or you won't be able to sleep at night. If you can take a 30 minute rest this will rejuvenate you.

yeah thats thoroughly typical i recommend you to not nap throughout the day if you happen to desire a well sleep at night time considering you simplest desire a distinct quantity of hours of sleep relying on age and frame form so you'll get up within the core of the night time if youve already had a couple of hours of resting.
