Several reasons. I guess it started off as homerism. I became a fan of the Colts when they moved to Indianapolis in the 1980's. For the first few years, they sucked. But they had a few good years with Harbaugh (now the 49er's coach) at quarterback and with Marchibroda as head coach. Then the team really turned around when they got Bill Polian as GM and he picked up Peyton Manning and Coach Dungy. From then, they turned into a winning team and a team with a lot of sportsmanship. They also do tons of stuff for the neighboring communities (moreso than most other teams). I'm not really a fan of teams that win. For example, I hate the Yankees. Most teams that win a ton tend to brag, boast, and put other teams down like the Patriots do. It's nice to see that the Colts don't do that. The last time they were in the Super Bowl ALL of the sports networks picked them to win no more than 10 games at the beginning of the season. And even when they were the last unbeaten team in the league not one single sports station even picked them to make it to the Super Bowl. And all the way until they made it into the Super Bowl sports broadcasters were picking them as the team to lose. Then when they made it to the Super Bowl they were picked to win and everyone bandwagoned behind the Saints, including even the president and pope. And while the Jets coach predicted he'd beat the Colts and the Saints chanted "Whose gonna beat 'dem Saints? Nobody!" And it was stated by the Saints defensive coordinator that he wanted his guys to injure Peyton Manning in order to win the game. The Colts never once responded back. They never once siad they were going to win or came back with connotations. They never even stated they'd beat the Saints in a rematch after they lost the Super Bowl. The only thing they said was that they'd give the fans a good game to watch. In a way I can't say its homerism anymore because I now live in the Boston area and I'm sure Patriots fans don't like that I'm a Colts fan. It wasn't because the Colts are a winning team, because when I started rooting for them they were in last place in the NFL. But it's nice to be rooting for not only your home team, not only a winning team, but a team with great character that gives respect to their opponents. That doesn't brag. And that does a lot for their surrounding communities. Go Colts!

I can't wait fo the Pats to
1 beat the Colts
2 beat the NFC champs at the Super Bowl.
rest of the games are less dramatic, but just as important.

I want the Bears to actually WIN the Super Bowl next year! I want the Bears to annihilate the Packers and the Colts (although I like the Colts).
