Lemme tell you this, Golden State (Best Team :D), Dallas, San Antonio, Suns, and Houston would not need 7 games to beat the Cavs matter fact ANY team in the eastern confrence playoffs last year, 4-5 games is all it takes for them...Denver would probably go to 7 games with the Cavs and Denver would end up winning because of more talent (Marcus Camby, Carmelo, AI etc.), and The Lakers would also have gone 7 games and won because Lamar Odom is a very underated player that avarages a double double when he plays and could take anyone on Cavs but Lebron, (but Kobe can S H I T on Lebron. Oh yeah Utah would prolly take 5-6, and scrape Cavs too with Boozer and Williams...

The Cavaliers would've easily beat the Lakers, but not a sweep. .... (maybe 5 or 6 games)....
The Cavaliers maybe would've won a in a hard fought 7 games against the Houston Rockets.
All the others (Golden State, Denver, Phoenix, Utah & Dallas) would've beat the Cavs easily in 4 or 5 games.
The 2007 NBA Finals were over in the 1st quarter of Game 1 when Tim Duncan blocked a driving layup by LeBron James. That definitively ended the series. The Spurs were bored by the Cavs after the 2nd quarter of Game 2. The MVP was given to Tony Parker, but they should have given it to the whole starting 5. That was probably the most lopsided Finals in NBA history. ...(not probably)
(to the poster who thinks Detroit would've gave the Spurs a challenge)
*** If Detroit had won the Leastern Conference this year, they would've gotten Tim Duncan's interest only slightly more than Cleveland. There's no way Parker wins the Finals MVP, because Chauncey Billups is a much better player than Parker. Parker & Manu Ginobili would've been punked out by Detroit just like they were in '05. However, Duncan is way better than everybody and would've disposed of the Pistons by himself in 5 games max. It should not have taken him 7 games in '05, so he would've saw to correct that. If Duncan could make Rasheed & Ben Wallace look like little boys together in '05, what do you think would've happened to 'Sheed without Big Ben. ^^^The same thing that happened to him in the 1999 Western Conference Finals? Spurs win 4-0...(maybe 4-1)^^^. ***

Yes- Spurs, Suns, Mavs
Maybe- Warriors, Jazz, Nuggets, Rockets
No- Lakers
The West is better, no knock against the Cavs, but that's the way the wind blows. I wouldn't take any East team over the top three in the West.

IMO Dallas and Phoenix would have won in 5 at most. The Jazz and Nuggs probably would have won. It would have been an ugly series with Houston which could have gone either way. The Cavs could probably beat the LAL and GSW.
Of course we know what the Spurs did to them.

Everybody except the Lakers would beat them. GS was what I thought to be the best team in the playoffs at the time until the Jazz shut them down. Baron Davis did all he could, poor guy. I wanted him to win it and get MVP

Dallas yes
Phoenix yes
Utah no
Houston no
Denver no
Lakers no
Golden State no
Obviously San Antonio did so I say only Dallas, Phoenix & San Antonio.
Plus if Detroit would have went to the NBA finals they would have given San Antonio a series.
