By Chambers's standards, pretty much anyone runs great routes and has great hands!

As a buckeye fan, this is what I can say about Ginn. He has good hands. He doesn't have Cris Carter or Joey Galloway hands, but probably on par with Terry Glenn. He does drop a ball here and there. The same can be said with his route running. 85% of the plays he runs good routes, but sometimes he miss read the defense at OSU. Teams would focus their defense on Ginn, even though you had a heisman trophy QB, 1500 yard rusher and 3rd round pick RB, and another WR that went in the first round to the colts. That should tell you something about the player. As a dolphins fan as well, I am a little disappointed in the pick, but there is no doubt they got a player.

Chief Fill-A-Chamber was def passing the peace pipe around when he said that!!! Ginn is a phenominal athlete but has never been known for his hands. w/ jet burners like his, does he really need to run crispe routes though? in college he didnt, maybe in the pros hell get shut down and that will force him into being a more disciplined route runner.
***side note***
you think the Dolphins D can carry the team into the post season? they look good on D...just gotta get it together on O. backfield should be good though.

you are overlooking the key components of this passage
---- Chambers said ----
We all KNOW that Chambers has terrible hands, and I've never heard anything good said about his routes either. Chambers is obviously comparing Ginn to himself. Only Chambers could make a circus catch in the back of the endzone, then drop 5 straight passes into his gut. Chambers had the lowest reception percentage of any receiver last season in terms of balls that were thrown to him, it was something like he only caught 38% of the passes that were thrown to him.

Well I think Chambers is saying that for two reasons.
1) He is his teammate and if he said he didn't run good routes or has great hands, it would sound bad and the media would be all over him like they were over Randy Moss back when he played for Min.
2) He said it because other teams will hear that and they could think, "He runs good routes and has great hands now, maybe we should try to cover him better than we normally would." And that means Chambers has less coverage on him and he gets open more often.
I will agree with you though. He doesn't run great routs and he doesn't have amazing hands. It does look like he has improved on both of them though.

Ginn has never had good hands. I have no idea where that's coming from. Every time the ball was thrown in his general direction, my sister and I would literally hold our breaths....we never knew when it would bounce off his shirt or fall down his body and roll off his shoes. Geez. He was awful whilst playing at OSU - trust me, I've watched TONS of their games.
His routes were decent, but nothing super. They always looked well rehearsed.
His speed is his weapon and that's about it.
