They believe this because they WANT to believe it. It is a form of positive thinking, and sometimes positive thinking works. But to attribute something to a God just because it went right is irrational, and seems a little crazy to the non-believer. And crazy people can be dangerous. Some Christians kill abortion doctors, commit suicide with their followers, attack those of a different sexual persuasion and go on gun rampages. Now most Christians don't do those things, but when they show irrational conduct, one cannot help but react as you react if you meet someone who is drunk or on drugs. It is the instinct for self-survival. The Christians could avoid this situation by keeping their explanation of their positive thinking to themselves. I suspect many are too stubborn and enjoy disturbing people with their eccentricity, so we are stuck with those who insist on thinking that "God" did it, and want to tell the world. But don't complain if people react and think you are dangerous!

I don't fear Christians. They believe what they want. I believe what I want. I don't know what religion is right or wrong. Or if there is a heaven or a hell. But, I wouldn't label people who believe crazy. I think they are passionate about God. Something they feel close to. Kind of like a kid that has an imaginary friend. Someone they can confide in without judgment. So, if that's what it takes for someone to feel sane in a insane world then that's what they need to do.

Perhaps, but not to a large degree. Granted some Christians *may* become violent when they think they are standing up for a righteous cause, but I'd guess that the statistics show them as a very small percentage and often from "fringe" groups/cults.

They worry more for trying to enforce morality through legislation and influencing social norms. I also don't want to see creation taught as a scientific alternative to evolution or classes skipped due to belief. Creation could be taught with other religious belief in a survey of religion class or other appropiate venue.

SAD to say, but there are people who call themselves Christians, who do not act Christian. There's no denying that one. On the other hand, I have been sick much of my life...I do not blame God...I blame the pollution in the air that WE put there. I can also credit God for sustaining me in a very real way. Doctors all thought I was doomed to die very early and life...and I am living to a ripe age!

I think the trolls are starting mischief again. I smell a rat. If you say so!!!!-I'll agree if it will make you feel like a big man. You are so right-I wish I was as smart as you-but being one of the weak minded believers(notice I said believer-not Christian) I can't help but be confused. There-does that make you feel better?????

you cant call them christians. religious people make up there own religions. infact jesus christ himeself said that religion is created by man. christians follow christ. not some messed up religion or cult. if u read the bible or new what christ would do, ud know what a christian really is, or should be anyway.

Most Christians I have met are hypocrites ,Not all mind you, but I have personally met several people who "claimed" to be Christians but their words & actions were far from it. That probably contributed to my opting out of ALL religion.
