The only real major threat to society in the UK, is the dumbing down of it. From tv to the papers, people dont seem aware that they are being kept in a vegative state. We are led to believe that there are many threats, so we have had the War on Terror, now its War on Guns. Not sure what next weeks war will be.

1) Flooding.
2) Heroin/crack cocaine and the gangs who deal in it.
3) Terrorism
4) Rogue nations obtaining nuclear materials
5) Financial meltdown due to people relying on the government instead of going and getting a job (did you know that at some point in the future the state will not be able to fund the amount of pensions neccessary due to not enough tax being paid, and so will abolish state pension?)
6) Threats from other nations such as Russia and China, although the chances of these coming to blows is almost zero as Nuclear holocaust would follow. It will only ever be a tense stand-off/flexing of muscles.
