old enough and mature enough to also take on the responsibility of a child that may result from having sex Just because you may use protection doesn't 100% prevent pregnancy from occuring.
And the ability to destinguish between sex and love. They are completely different.

old enough to understand, it may not be love, this person might not give a dam about you and just want to get off. To do is easy but to be able to handle the emotional effects is harder. If you dont feel bad cuz of gods rule or if you think your going to get married so why not dont, right now is a time you are together, a month from now will you still be? there can be alot of emotion with sex wheather you mean to have it or not its there.

Age matters not. You feel it, just don't give up to a guy who says smth like: 'I thought you loved me" or "It hurts me when you refuse". Those are simply jerks.
As for me, I didn't have sex until 20< years. Not because I'm virgin for life or a Christian (only after wedding, you know). I felt I didn't meet the right person yet. When you do, you'll understand.

there is no good age. but my opinion is u while until your old enough to take care of the uncoming child in case anything goes wrong. so if u know u not ready to have a child wait until u are, anything can happen! and make sure he is clean with NO infections or disease.
