She did a good job but she didn't do that much. The only reason I went was because my skin was dry and scaly from washing dishes. She told me there wasn't much they could do about that but when I as I was leaving I asked for their pamphlet and it said they can do a scrub and paraffin treatment for extra money. I didn't know about it, no one asked. I just went in and asked for a manicure. You'd think they'd ASK. I didn't know that a manicure was just rubbing some lotion on my hands and paining my nails. That was all I really wanted, I didn't care about my nails. I can do them at home! I suppose it doesn't matter, though, since I'm leaving town in an hour and won't be back for a week.

The only reason I'm so mad is because the only reason I got it is because I'm finished my dish washing job. I probably won't get another one and I wanted to do something about my icky hands today!.

i wouldn't complain, I would probably just never go back there again. most of the salons and manicure places here in my town usually have printed out lists of exactly what sort of services are included with the different types of manicures. You got what sounded like a basic manicure, which usually only involves, polish change, shaping nails and the lotion massage.

the spa I go to offers three types of manicures, one like the one you got, second one with scrubby exfoliation and third with paraffin wax.

I probably would have asked when I got to the salon what services are included with the different manicures. That gives you the opportunity to ask what the different services are. I would have also showed the person or told them over the phone what your situation was and then asked for what would be the most appropriate treatment.

Yes, it is nice if the salon asks you questions, but it is also your duty as a client to ask questions as well.

A nice manicure is cleaned, trimmed, painted nails (women), massage , lotion & it's a wonderful form of relaxing human contact - in a non-sexual way.....

The manicure wasn't bad, just that the service person did not mention the additional service.

Give it a try, again, and use lotion at home. Try those Playtex rubber gloves - there's a reason they've been sold for the last 50 years.

Treat yourself to a regular manicure and enjoy it. Allow yourself to experience the feeling of good personal service.

I don't know if I'd COMPLAIN about it, just not give that particular nail salon my business again because it seems as if they didn't really care one way or another that you wanted something that would bring them more income. So, if I were you, I would go online or to a phone book and look for another nail salon in your area and then call them and ask if they do the pariffin wax and scrub and if they do, I would go there instead.
