i got my ear perice about 2wks ago on the top of my ear it was fine the first week when i took it out to change earing it hurt like heck the back was closed i had to open it again well now this week my ear is so swollen and hurts i just took the earing off i j ust wanted to k nowif it suppose to swell up before it gets better or did i get it on the wrong spot. my ear is still swollen the cartlige looks so ugh ugh ugh i really wanted that eariing there not sure if i should put it back in

well i got it done at the beach and they told me to change it in a week. so i did and that when it started to get swollen not on the siter but on my ear . so i took the earring off should i just clean the site and wait till swelling go down before i put the earring back on or just forget it and let it close

okay i just got the guts and put the earring back on i washed my ear with bactine and clean it i put some on the earring and it didn't hurt when it went in only the back of my ear i had to push it in to make the earring go thru . why does the back close up faster then the front funnly well thanks for all the answers im just putting bactine on it and turning it lets hope the swelling go down , another ??? can u use warm cloth on ur ear to numb the pain a bit ????

You changed your earring way to early. You need to wait at least 8 weeks to change it. It sounds like you are infected now. I would put the original earring back in. Dab some antibiotic cream on it before you put it in. Also, get some bactine and start pouring it on the piercing and turning the earring so it gets in the hole. Wash your hands before you touch it.

When getting a cartilidge piercing - you're supposed to wait at least 10 weeks to take out the earring, even to change it. That's why you're having problems. Get some bactine and start cleaning it.

well if you got your ears pierced at a friends house or somewhere thats not proffessional i suggest you to go the ear doctor and see whats wrong because there is most likely an infection there and dont put the earring on right now if it hurts that bad, and you should really talk to a doctor

i had that done years ago and i can honestly say your better off without it! mine was in for 2 years and still hurt to sleep on it. the swelling will go down just be sure to cleanse it you will be fine
