I'm Spartacus, great movie. What if I say I'm very liberal in my beliefs but very conservative when it comes to government? What does that make me? I'm pro-choice and think the government has no business trying to legislate anyone's morals. All for fiscal responsibility in government along with smaller, less intrusive government. I think states rights have taken a back seat to the federal government which has turned into a monster. I'm not married, don't have kids and don't cheat on my significant other, that's my moral road, I don't need anyone else to tell me what's right for me. I doubt you do either. It's people like Mark Foley, Ted Haggard and the most recent, Senator Craig that needs to stop pointing their fingers at others.

I'm a Liberal.
I am not married, nor do I have children. But that's a personal choice.
I work an average of 45 hours a week, with reasonable pay.
I come here on Yahoo! Answers during my break just to see what's going on. And like you, all I see is Conservatives stereotyping Liberals.

Frankly, I feel that the whole "Family Values" card is over played.
I would prefer that our politicians ran on a "National Values" platform. You know... like "charity starts at home". If we cannot take care of our own, how can anyone expect us to "police the globe"?
Six years after 9/11 and our borders are as porous as Swiss cheese. How's that for "National Values"?
I know what you're saying Gordy and I commend you and your family. But if this great nation of ours is going to remain "great", we had better stop trying to run each other’s lives and start running this country like a Nation that actually cares about it’s Constitution.

"Some conservative yahoo answerors want to stereotype liberals as all being cheating sex maniacs."
You'll believe that when you find out your wife is cheating on you. J/K!
Seriously though, this stereotype does tend to hold, but like all stereotypes there are exceptions.

Amen brother...
At least for some of us the problem is that we have read and researched and corroborated MUCH information that overwhelmingly supports the fact that Marxism/communism is intrinsic to contemporary liberal/progressive ideology. We understand that, in supporting what you do you do, you are furthering the cause. It’s called the long march through the culture.
You can deny this and call us nuts all you like, the fact remains the same.
Sure there are corrupt immoral republicans. It’s called being human. We are for the most part corrupt little beings but, the enemy is anybody who is going to get you killed, no matter whose side he is on. Bathroom follies by a dirt bag republican are not going to get us killed.

Not all liberals are lazy amoral trolls as the conservatives would like to believe. In fact many like you and I are highly functioning, responsible and productive adults.
I too am a successful liberal. I however do not have children yet as I am not married, engaged, however no legally married and feel as though I do not want to bring any children into a relationship that is not sanctified by marriage.
I own a company, employee a small but loyal workforce. They all have full medical benefits and earn a fair market wage.
I am university educated, I own my own home and I vote democrat.

You seem like a nice liberal. I share your same values even though i'm a conservative. i have a wife and daughter, and love spending time with them. i wish both sides could quit name calling, but unfortunately the powerful ones are the ones that make these labels. just keep your values and stay true to them.

If recent news, Larry Craig, has proven anything, it is certainly that being a cheating sex maniac can't be confined to liberals. Not that I bought into that view in the first place.
