OMG! HOW DARE THEY EVEN BEGIN TO TAKE HER OFF HERE; SHE HELPED MAKE THIS SITE THE SUCCESS IT IS!!!!!
I am only on here a couple minutes a day and many of you don't know me, but I can honestly say that on two occasions Marianne _not_Ginger has single-handedly convinced me to continue plugging away at this site instead of going away in disgust. She is, for lack of a better description, my cyber hero, ("Super MnG") and the person to whom I go to understand all of the nuances of this site.
I will volunteer that had I known my friend from Tennessee had been axed from this site, I would have been gone myself, but only after having let the powers that be know what I thought of their shoddy treatment of this wonderful lady. It is people like her (and you, Enzyme 360) that keep me interested in coming back. I simply don't have the time - or the patience - for pettiness; I get way too much of that already without going online to find more, thank you. I most likely would have blown a gasket if I had been aware of her banishment, and my ugly side would have come out. And it is REAL ugly.
Long live people like you two, because your cleverness make this site the fun place it is. However, I must also quote Jack Nicholson from the classic "Mars Attacks" when he implored, "Why can't we all just....get along?" Yahoo Answers is more vicious than baseball, I think, and I have scars all over my body from my days in THAT activity....
MnG, a million thanks and cyber-hugs for what you have already done for me on here, and I want to extend to you a hearty GLAD TO HAVE YOU BACK! even though I didn't know you were even gone.....

Yes, I am thrilled they reinstated her. I have been on Answers since Jan 2006, just a month less than Marianne but nowhere near the number of Answers and Best Answers she has. I haven't been around on Answers much the past couple of months because of exactly the thing that has happened to you and what had happened to her yesterday. Too many non-deserved violations from either kids or trolls and nothing is done about it and then good people get suspended. It's ridiculous. But welcome back, MNG!!

Absolutely!
I only learned about this whole thing after it had already been worked out, so I didn't even get the chance to speak for her. Reading the forum thread about it, it felt like my heart was sinking to my toes, and back to its proper place in a matter of seconds!
Thanks to everyone who did speak up. YA would definitely not be the same without Marianne_not_Ginger.
I don't frequent this category, but I hope she remembers me :-)

The YA Team does the best they can given the resources they have, occasionally, things can get a little out of hand.
I do think, however, that a little common sense would have prevaled had it been applied in this instance ... A year and half of regular and frequent contributions ... 10,000+ answers (almost 4K of which are BA's), Level 7 ...
"Yeah, she's a real menace to society!" ;-) For a brief time during her suspension, I felt safe ... now I'm too scared to crawl out from under my desk ! ;-P

Well...I was...until she suckered me in TWICE in one day...I am still steamed about dat ya know...
I really thought she was actually asking a totally serious question both times..you know, one where I wouldn't have to come up with a 'funny' response..which would mean I didn't have to think that much..sigh...now she's got me paranoid.
LOL! I admit..she got me good and I tip my hat to her! Now you enzyme...you I can usually figure it out BEFORE I click on answer! LOL! Cheers to both of you!

I can't thank you enough for rallying on the forum and posting on my behalf. I'd kill to know what you guys said to make Yahoo decide to reinstate me. They were deleted before I got there. Nevertheless, what you did was such a generous gesture and one I will never forget. I don't remember ever being as disappointed as I was this morning when I discovered I was just "gone." OOPS. I seriously will now and forever more hate that word.... OOPS! Now? now I'm just on cloud nine. Why? because I have friends like you guys. gosh...... you've made my day!!! thank you.... thank you..... thank you for being there for me. :)
