record some great songs on a CD for her or take her out for the day on a secret location - pack a lovely picnic. If you have the cash redletter or similar websites do "different presents" too.
But the best present I got was a box with a good mag/ a half bottle of champagne/ some lovely bath bubbles/ my fave choc bar and candles - all very simple and I had a lovely evening!

An experience day, like a hot air balloon ride if you have a head for heights, a spa weekend, there are companies out there who specialise in these activities or romantic weekends/trips. Something you both can share in.

Another obviouse one is to send her a gift voucher for her fav shop?? Or for a special occasion how about. booking a restaurant, the theatre/movie (make sure its one that she wants to see) but dont tell her just take her there. Or a Photo shoot for the both of you with a frame included. she would treasure that. Or something simple like taking her to make a teddybear.
Small things show how much you care.

I have heard these two sites advertised and always thought they offered interesting, romantic alternatives:
http://www.pajamagram.com/
http://shop.vermontteddybear.com/
I ordered from my husband from Red Envelope for Valentine's one year. I was very pleased with the quality of the merchandise. It was a VERY last minute idea (ordered it online at around 11 p.m. on Feb. 13); they promised shipping for Valentine's Day and they delivered on their promise - it arrived before 10 a.m., even!

When my love is feeling down, she loves to go for a manuicure. It makes her feel pampered and special. I always pay the salon up front and let her book the time herself. I always meet her afterwards and we go to a nice little pub for a drink.

Something made of Spandex and stripper glitter. Because, deep down, all women really want to be hot glittery strippers. Stock up on dollar bills.
