They want us to cut and run. I guess they want Iran to increase in size and strength so that they can have a great chance at controlling or destroying us. People gripe about this being an "oil war". Wait until Iran has control of the oil and you have no gas for your car.

The United Nations can come in with Peace Keeping forces from surrounding Arab countries to protect the Iraqi government. But the Iraqi government must reconcile the various faction groups. The U.S. is spending 1 billion dollars per week there. After nearly 5 years there is very little to show for the money spent. I think the U.S. must withdrawal, the problem there cannot be resolved by the U.S. Military. A political solution is needed. The U.N. is better able to broker a diplomatic solution then the U.S.

Sure, what a great idea. That is of course if you want your mortal enemy to quadruple their power and influence. Let's not forget to mention the amount of revenue that they would have access to. Sure, let's have Iran running the whole middle east. That'd be just great!
And for those who keep asking "how long do we stay", may I remind you that we still have a military presence in several countries from when we were in WW2, and Korea. We need troops abroad to maintain a level of readiness and protection for our interests and allies. Use you head.

Did you even read the article you posted. No Democrat said to let Iran take control; the president of Iran said to let Iran take control. Iran, incidentally, is a theocratic, authoritarian government, much closer to extreme reactionary (conservative) ideology than radical (liberal).
Get your facts straight. Or is this just meant to be partisan propaganda.
The Democrats suggested removing Iraq's prime minister but said nothing about Iran being involved.

In actuality, I think we're giving Iraq to Iran.
After all the screwups in the past and the continuing mistakes that are to come, Iran has their plans better organized than we do (to an extent).
We can change it, but unfortunately the nutcases in the White House don't seem to want the change.

And this will result in world peace how.
It will not. And, we will drop the people if Iraq into the fire. Our pullout will deny them the opportunities we promised. I'm sure that will make us popular.

Yes, our troops aren't wanted there that is what old Maliki said let me quote him , "We don't need America's troops they can go home at anytime, we will be able to handle this all by ourselves" . WELL, Buddy I'm for taking your advice , get our troop out and let them fight each other and whoever wins rules Iraq, not us.

I think we should take care of our own country and let every body else take care of themselves. By the way, our government wants to make Iraq a democracy, how come we don't try it with Korea? Fear?

Hmmm, so how long should we stay? Until the 'job' is done? How long will that take? 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
If Iran wants that pit, let them have it and watch the Sunnis start blowing up their troops.
