Be proud of the things that make you feel that you are doing the right thing. And if abstaining from fathering children makes you feel that you have done right, go ahead and feel proud.
It may mean that you resisted peer pressure, and peer pressure should have no role in the decision to have children. You can be proud of all the good things you've done, and resisting having children that you are not yet ready for or just plain don't want is a good reason to feel pride.

LOL...sorry, it just struck me funny. These days, I guess a guy would feel lucky to not have any kids by 30, seeing as how NO ONE is careful anymore. I'm not a guy, so I don't know if it's normal or not. But if you don't want kids, I guess it's a good thing.

Any fathered man could feel proud the same (OR MORE) for his position. They only are two different points of views!

If you are straight, yes.
If you are gay, no. Most of us don't adopt until we are well into our 30s and financially stable enough to support a family.
