The old wives tale goes: If the baby's heartrate is above 140 its a girl, and below its a boy. Has this been true for anyone? My baby's was 158bpm. :) So, maybe its a girl! 2 more weeks till i find out. :)

mine is always in the 150's and its a boy....so i would lean towards "no" on the wives tale.

I heard its the other way around For a Boy its above 140 For a Girl its below 140 . My son was always over 150

My dr said it's actually up to 155 is a girl and 156 and higher is a boy. My sister and I were pregnant at the same time. My baby's HR was 140 - 150 consistently and her baby's was nearly 170 all the time. We both had girls!

Well mine is from 135-140 and during my 18 week ultrasound the tech said he 'thinks' it's a boy.

My daughter's was 150-155 the entire pregnancy.

No this was not true for me anyway and i have heard of alot of other ppl that say its untrue, my baby was 156bpm and he is 100% boy lol. Good luck to you though.

nope wasn't true for mine. Both my boys stayed around 145-160
