Well, fattening up animals to be slaughtered in the blink of an eye doesn't seem very humane as well. =\

Your confusing apples and oranges. Just because one eats meat doesn't mean they condone the murder of animals. Secondly, there is a world of difference between killing a cow for beef and murdering a dog because it didn't fight well.

In addition to the meat from a cow, the skin and other parts can also be used. Perhaps the methods used to kill cows could be more humane, but the main difference is cows are bred for the purpose of food supply. It's not like they were killed for the heck of it.

Dogs and dogfighting on the other hand fall into a different category. Dogs are not bred or trained to fight each other to the death, which is in humane as it is, but killing dogs that don't perform well is in humane and cruel. Not everyone that eats meat is a sociopath.

i love eating meat, almost any type of meat and i believe strongly in animal rights. i don't think i am a hypocrite. The fact is that i think we need to eat animals, but the means in which we raise and sloater them can be humane. I don't want the cows that i eat to be tortured, i want them to die as quickly and painlessly as possible. But having dogs fight for entertainment is just cruel, but if you were in the outback and saw to dogs fighting over food i think it would be fine to watch because you were not the cause of the fight in that case

I am not a vegan but I respect those who choose to be. I think his behavior was deplorable and I want to see him punished. If you love animals that doesn't mean you have to be one way or another with out getting into individuals beliefs, it is not hypocritical in my opinion, some people have religious beliefs some have political convictions, whatever. What he did was wrong, period.
BTW I don't remember fattening up a cow to be shredded by another cow for human pleasure.

if we stopped eating cows, there would be no more cows. Do you think farmers would raise them for the sport of it? By eating meat we are insuring a species does not go extinct. Ever seen a cow at the zoo? no, Ever seen a cow in the woods living free? no. Besides. If God didn't want us to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them out of meat.

i think he should have to do some jail time i dont think that taking away his job will do anything for him....he probably has enough money to not work for the rest of his life. and do community service at various animal shelters....scooping up poop and cleaning cages. and pay a fine. and not be able to own any type of animals...not even a roach. he is suppose to be some little kids mentor and a famous football player making all this money........and he abused that.

I eat meat, but I do not support pitting animals against each other in barbaric bloodsports.

I don't see a conflict between these two beliefs.

No.

My eating a steak is far, far different than some retard promoting dog fighting for entertainment.

Although I eat meat, I would never eat from KFC as they kill the chickens by head stomping. Sick sobs!

no. Im for animal rights, to a point, i love me some steak. I dont think animals should be mistreated, like the dog fighting thing, or c0ck fighting , any form of animal abuse. Am i against fur...no , am i against the slaughter of animals for food, no, so long as its quick and relatively humane. I dont want to see them mistreated or abused, but i still want my steak.

No. Eating meat is natural. Torturing animals is not natural. If someone can't see the difference then I feel sorry for them.
