Why isn't this guy considered one of the greatest writers ever, his writing is amazing. How is it that I never heard of this guy?

I agree, he should be a part of literary curriculum.

I have only read 'The Prophet' so I don't know that I'm qualified to consider him one of the greatest writers ever, but I did enjoy those essays and think they were very inspiring.

He IS considered one of the greatest writers of all time.

Although Erica Jong pointed out (I think it was about his poetry) that wheat doesn't bloom?

he's really an amazing author.he's one of my favorites.in my opinion he's one of the best authors in the world.and that's what everyone says when reading his books;just amazing!
