Military school? Piffle.

This is precisely why basements, soundproofing, and rope were created.

"Settle" the child down there for a couple of days with a television/VCR playing round-the-clock reruns of "Oprah" and "The Brady Bunch" and the child will come around.

Oh, and try to remember to feed and water the dear child.

Military academy seems like a good idea. It's better to teach someone how to kill than to teach them how to sit around in their armchair whining about stuff they don't have the guts to do something about.
