I am not being unkind with this question. I am being serious. Every time I walk by a group of them they make me severely uncomfortable how they stare and I notice they do it to ALL woman no matter what race. It is so offensive that I start telling them off now.

well its a touchy situation so i will not get that in detail...but much easier to generalize it...all guys do it...im a guy and i have the most respect for my girlfriend...we have plans of getting married within a year but i will never not look at other woman...just like she will never not look at other men...its human and it happens...we all do it...i think the reason u see it more obvious with certain men is because u watch certain ones more because ur scared or raceist...im not trying to offend u or anyone for that matter but u dont pay as much attention to ur race because u feel they arent as much of a theat....its a hard fact to accept but ur kind of singleing people out for no reason...althogh this also happens alot...be pissed at me thats fine...but just for one minute before u ge pissed just wonder if im right....and if ur still pissed then ur obviously raceist and u know im right....wow this is deep....and this is all my opinion...

It's funny how so many people can read your question and not understand that by "Hispanic men" you mean the Hispanic men you have encountered or a large number of them. Noticing this does not make you a racist. My wife has pointed out this type of behavior in young Hispanic men many times because it creeps her out.

As many people have answered, most men are guilty of checking out the attractive women we see. There is just something about the way Hispanics do it that gives some women bad vibes. They don't even try to conceal it, and many think it is okay to yell out cat-calls and make obscene gestures. I guess there are some women who see this as a compliment, but many who see a group of men doing that feel that a line has been crossed. There is a fine line between willingness to be obscene in public and willingness to touch someone who does not want to be touched. I knew a waitress at a sports bar that was quitting because the Hispanic men kept grabbing her back side while she was working (on the average several times an hour).

The ones doing this haven't figured out that they will never get a date with you if they act this way. Somehow they think they are showing you that they are available to you.

Um- Anyone that says they haven't noticed young Hispanic men doing this leering/ cheering thing whenever they're around a woman must be pretty ugly to not even get a OLA BABY.
I can tell ya- I know exactly what you mean and yes young white guys in a group might do it but you can expect it for certain from a group of Hispanic males if you look better than a bowl of Alpo.
I usually smile and walk on quickly.

I totally know what you are talking about. I live in New Mexico and there are alot of hispanic people here. I think it is just cultural thats all. I work with men from Mexico (like just came over) and they alsways tell me the differences between Mexican and American women. American women are more self reliant and they hold their own. While Mexican women believe that thier duty is to be supportive of the men in their lives. Not that this is bad. But i believe that the mentality of putting the male form first all the time predisposes the women of the culture to allow this type of behavior, and even to find it as an acceptable form of compliment.

The men aren't neccesarily trying to be rude, (though they may be pigs about it when allowed) they are just doing what they were raised to do. Look apon women as something to conquest not win over.

hhhmmm, last time this happened to me it was from a white guy! I guess they had never seen a Mexican girl, much like those Hispanic guys had never seen a white girl.

Also, the Hispanic men that do this are uneducated and usually straight outta Mexico (where machismo is big). If they were born and raised as Americans, then they don't act as primitive.

Yes, many do stare at women inappropriately. It is called "machisimo" and it stems from a male-dominated culture in which women are seen more as a means for food and children than as an individual with rights and opinions. Obviously, this is more true of the alien population than it is of the many proud Mexican and Latin Americans who were born and raised in the USA.

It is not offensive. If you have not heard this before, many Hispanic men like women a lot. Which is normal. Some men really LIKE women and feel great around them and when they... you know what. That's their way of thinking. And i respect that.

Oh and one more thing, practice your spelling.

I assume you are speaking of hispanic men in America correct? Well it is a culture shock to them and they do not really know the correct way to act. They are seeing women they do not normally see in Mexico or where ever they are from so it is pleaseing to them. The may not do it out of disrespect.

Most cultured and better educated hispanic men don't make it so obvious that they are stripping us (women) with there eyes. All men do it..educated or not. Thankx guys!

Unlike some cultures in which men (and women) avert eye contact, in the Mexican culture it's acceptable for men to maintain eye contact. Check out their movies for a real example.
They don't think about how it makes the viewed woman feel.
