The new Intel Chips are built with a new technology that AMD has not caught up to yet so as of right now Intel has the upper hand. So If I were going to build it I would go with Intel. Also it looks like you are going to be running this in a laptop or other small form factor machine. That being the case Intel uses less power thus generating less heat which is very critical in laptops or small form factor machines.

You should get Intel Core 2 Dup instead of AMD Turion, since Intel is better than AMD.

Intel core 2 duo. It runs cooler and the battery lasts longer on a charge.

If all other specs are the same, the intel. However intels usually have horrible integrated graphics incapable of playing any modern games halfway decently while amd's typically use better integrated graphics capable of playing modern games halfway decently on medium settings. Also the speed of hard drive and the amount of ram should also be factored into your decision.

Really depends on your applications. If you are a gamer, go with the AMD. It is cooler and seems to run games faster. For business applications, go with the Intel with the higher cache. Other than that, they are comparable.

Intel's line of dual core processor performs better than AMD's does. I would get the Intel one without hesitation.

you didn't give us what you are going to be using the laptop for, If it is for business only I would suggest Intel but if it is for Personal use (IE gaming) I would recommend The AMD processor. Also the AMD runs cooler than the Intel processors.
