Do you have a "happy" place you go to? That rejuvenates your spirit...whether it's near or far, real or imaginary? LOL

I grab a book, hide in my bedroom and let my book take away.
But my favourite "happy place" is the guest cottage on my parents property at the lake, and spend a couple days alone with my pets and nature. A lovely escape from the world of people.

I read books when I need to escape. It is one of the best way to get involved in someone else's world and be oblivious to what's happening around you. Another idea is to watch a movie or something. I go on Youtube and watch bloopers and the like. It's funny so it cheers you up.
Also, I love interior decorating so I set up my dream house. I already have a few diff. models of what I want my ideal house to look like.

ideally, i turn off the ringer, put the answering machine on mute, and take a power nap/ or soak in the tub.
when i'm at work, I take a break, whip out the ipod and go for a walk.
Ooo... Oooo.... I also take my dog out for walks and play fetch!
Just being w/ my dog is a great destresser!

I go out into nature, preferable at twilight, look up into the sky, feel the breeze coming off the sea, laden with the sweet scents of the night, and I am at perfect peace.

I go take a long hot bath, it's usually all I have time for to be able to get away from daily stresses! I'd love to go to a far away beach, now that would be nice!

I go to a beach in the Algarve, Portugal. And, I drink Vino Verde and eat fresh, grilled sardines on the beach [Sardiniada]. That's heaven to me!

yea,at times i come online to the virtual world or on other days go to the mall or in the park or meet a friend.everything is near my house.

I go to the beach lay out a towel and take a nap while getting a crazy tan. :)
